Michael Palin is not only a talented actor, explorer/adventurer, but a gifted writer as well. He has told the story of the ship Erebus in such a way that it is not a dry tome. I enjoyed reading about a familiar expedition, and gave the book as a Christmas gift to a friend. She and her husband enjoyed it as well.
